We recommend the Adapter must be no more than 5-10mm larger than your Post. Our largest adapter is 107mm internal diameter. When the ground is very dry, compacted or stony, you will need to make a pilot hole for posts larger than 78mm. This can be either by hand using a Pilot Bar, or mechanically using our Pilot Core Tool add-on. Posts smaller than 78mm should not need a pilot hole. Ground conditions of clay or chalk may also require a pilot hole.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eEasy Fitting\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStraight forward to insert - simply push the Reducing Adapter into the 78mm Round Adapter and use your Post Driver as normal. To remove, insert a thin bar into the holes at the base of the adapter, stand on the bar and pull.
