    54mm Reducing Adapter (2″) from 84 Round

    Size

    This Reducing Adapter has an internal diameter of 54mm round. This Reducer fits inside a 84mm Round Adapter, for driving posts between 40mm – 52mm (2"), including Scaffold Poles.

    The Reducing Adapter slides in and out of the 84mm Round Adapter with rubber O-Rings.

    Compatible with the Classic35 and Classic50 models only.

    What adapter(s) do I need?

    To get the most effective use from the Post Driver, the Adapter size must be a snug fit for your Posts. We recommend the Adapter must be no more than 5-10mm larger than your Post. For shaped posts (squares, t-shapes, etc), the outer corners need to be within this capacity.

    What is the maximum ability of the machine?

    The maximum size post that can be driven in is 4” (100mm) diameter. Our largest adapter is 107mm internal diameter. When the ground is very dry, compacted or stony, you will need to make a pilot hole for posts larger than 78mm. This can be either by hand using a Pilot Bar, or mechanically using our Pilot Core Tool add-on. Posts smaller than 78mm should not need a pilot hole. Ground conditions of clay or chalk may also require a pilot hole.

    Easy Fitting

    Straight forward to insert - simply push the Reducing Adapter into the 84mm Round Adapter and use your Post Driver as normal. To remove, insert a thin bar into the holes at the base of the adapter, stand on the bar and pull. Very easy to use, with no bolts or washers to lose.
