The Easy Soil Sampling Kit will remove a 1500mm x 38mm soil sample which can be slid into clear Specimen Tubes & sealed, enabling the sample to be transported and inspected without disturbance. This deep sample can be taken very simply using motorised power to drive the sampling tube up to 1.5 metres deep into the earth. A deep soil sample allows you to easily determine nutrient content, composition, and other characteristics such as the acidity or pH level. The body of the Sampling Tube is slightly wider than the cutting head, meaning the sample can be easily slid out of the top of the Tube with ease. This Soil Sampling Kit comes with the Easy Petrol Post Driver with appropriate adapters, two Steel Sampling Tubes, a Tube Transport Bag, Foot Jack, Tough Box, and four Acrylic Specimen Tubes with End Caps.
How To Use
Warm up the Easy Petrol Post Driver Engine by starting the engine and leave it to idle for 3-5 minutes.
Position the cutting end of the Steel Sampling Tube at the desired sample location. Place the Post Driver on top of the sampling tube and adjust your position to get the tube straight.
Engage the throttle on the Post Driver to drive the Steel Sampling tube to the desired depth.
Once driven to the desired depth remove the Post Driver from the Sampling Tube and replace with the Foot Jack. Use the Foot Jack to lever the Sampling Tube out of the ground. To remove the Foot Jack from the Sampling Tube slide it over the top end.
Fix one End Cap onto an Acrylic Specimen tube, and slide the other end over the top of the Steel Sampling Tube. Now carefully invert both tubes together, resting the lower end on the ground. Then extract the Steel Sampling Tube from inside the Acrylic Tube, allowing the sample to fall into the Acrylic.
Seal the Acrylic Tube with the other End Cap and store flat to avoid disturbance of the sample.
